No job = no wool

This image of a fellow sheep, pretty much sums up how bloody cold I feel sat in my room with NO central heating.
The poor half shaven sod always symbolises for the the current economic situation in the UK with many major firms announcing 100s or 1000s job cuts, at possibly the worst time for those poor flock who will suffer as a result- and prob have less wool on their backs.
I fear there will be more hard times for us flock.... Hopefully not as bad as situation in Middle East and Africa....

Baa baa black sheep

For the last couple of days I have spent most of the time with my fella visiting friends and family during the xmas hols, and I can safely say I felt like the black sheep. There are two reasons why:

1st - I do not celebrate xmas. My family although Christian never celebrated xmas and viewed all xmas celebrations to be over commercialised as well as pagan in origin. So of course I am already viewed as a bit of a freak...

2nd - Most of the people we went to visit, no wait, pretty much everyone was Polish, so all conversation was in Polish and all jokes or topics went way over my head. Pretty much all the Polish are also catholic, so when I tell them I don't do xmas you can only imagine their reaction - FREAK!

I don't resent my boyfriend for bringing me along to these celebrations and visits, but I did feel awkward sometimes, especially as I caouldn't really contribute to any conversation taking place.

Therefore one of my aims in new year will be to learn some Polish, especially as I've been invited to a wedding in Poland. I have one word to say:

Kuuurrrwaaaa!!!

Sadly this is the only polish word I learnt and it happens to mean 'f**k!!)

Everyone's stumbling block....

Or rather, the lack of it - I know share the same plight as millions others, but I shall have a good whinge nevertheless....

I think it really sucks that the normal flocks have to suffer, because a bunch of fat cats got a bit greedy and blew the money on what? Who the f**k knows...

As a result, us poor flocks have to graze harder just to get by, yet the grass is not a green as it used to be - farmers can't afford decent fertiliser or soil to keep the stuff growing.

If this economic crisis doesnt get sorted soon, flocks will start getting sent of to the batteries.

It won't be obvious at first, but before you know, flocks will become more territorial and tuen against each other.

Twas the main reason 2nd world war happened.

But, as history loves to remind us, we never f**king learn......

Herded like stock

If there is one time I def feel like a sheep being herded about the place, it is whenever I commute to London - everyone seems to wear the same grim expression which gets harder, the closer we get to the capital. The majority often wearing suits with either a suitcase stuck to their lap or a mobile glued to their ears. Sometimes both.

Then when you reach the station in London, everyone scrambles off and heads straight to the Underground en masse.

The most disturbing thin about sitting on the train is no-one speaks with anyone, but simply sit in silence, read book or paper - apparently it's not normal to greet each other, or even have a chit - chat.

Personally I blame the poor train services - most trains are more often than not extremely cramped, and seats are quickly taken which means those who don't board the train early enough have to stand for nearly an hour.

It's even worse on the tubes during rush hour, where people will literally sardine themselves onto a carriage so they can get to work on time.

With these conditions, which are remarkably similar to how cattle are herded around, I'm not surprised people don't feel like socialising whilst commuting....

Lostlamb

In a world where there is much conflict and uncertainty, it is easy to feel lost and helpless in the course of events that you neither plan nor have control of.... leaving you lost and confused.

I am one of a billion lostlambs in the world, just seeking a sturdy path without too many stumbling blocks along the way.

As I am a bit of a daft clumsy lamb, there will be much humour and probably many tears along the way.

I just hope I can put a smile on some people's faces - that would make happy enough in this sad world....

Baah baah for now..... (I know naff ending)....
